LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) government fully believes in public service and added that they are working hard to solve the problems of the common man.
Talking to a delegation of senior journalists and anchorpersons at Punjab House in Islamabad on Tuesday, CM Usman Buzdar said, “We are standing with the feeble communities and are against the mafias.”
He said that indiscriminate action is being taken against the land grabbers in Punjab and so far more than 88,000 acres state-land worth up to Rs200 billion has been retrieved.
According to a statement released from his office, the chief minister said that resources are diverted towards less-privileged areas, especially to South Punjab.
He said that constructive criticism of the media provides necessary guidance and added that the role of media with regard to highlighting public problems is praiseworthy.
He reiterated that Punjab will be transformed by sincerely implementing the reforms agenda of the PTI and maintained that the government is giving particular attention to composite development of the province along with solving the problems of the general public.
The chief minister said that particular attention has been focused to the development of social sector and results of change in Punjab will be visible very soon, reads the statement.
He said that chief minister’s complaint center has been established to facilitate the general public and maintained that he is personally monitoring the center.
A secretariat is being established in southern Punjab so that people may not have to visit Lahore for redressal of their grievances, he said and added, “We are actively working to provide relief to the general public and every sort of step is being taken in this regard.”
The Chief Minister also appraised the media men about ongoing development projects and reforms agenda of the government.
