LAHORE: Taking a jibe at Indian media’s propaganda, Chairman Punjabi Sikh Sangat Sardar Gopal Singh Chawla has termed the criticism on him as narrow-mindedness of India and its media, ARY News reported.
Gopal Singh’s picture in which he can be seen shaking hand with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa is doing rounds on mainstream as well as social media.
Gopal said Bajwa was a true soldier and shaking hand with him was an honour for him. “The army chief lives in our hearts. He only wants trade of love. I am fortunate to meet him,” he said adding that “I have always been saying it and will repeat it again today ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ (long live Pakistan).”

He said he took picture with former Indian cricketer and member of Punjab cabinet Navjot Singh Sidhu for he was a guest in Pakistan.
The chairman Punjabi Sikh Sangat also thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan for the overture of opening Kartarpur Corridor between the neighbouring countries to facilitate the Sikh community.
Earlier in a statement against the Indian media propaganda the Foreign Office spokesperson said, “We categorically reaffirm that the initiative to open this Corridor has been taken by the government of Pakistan solely in deference to the longstanding wishes of our Sikh brethren, and especially in the wake of the forthcoming 550th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak Dev ji. Attributing any other motives is purely malicious.”
