According to TOLO News, the deputy spokesman of Afghan Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah said peace talks are only possible in the leadership of the Afghan government, but the US can play a role in facilitating peace talks.

The CEO office was reacted to reports of direct talks with the Taliban, but no statement was issued by Afghan President Ashraf Ghani on this information.

The Taliban spokesman in Qatar has said that the US leadership has not contacted him for talks, but the Taliban will welcome the talks when contacted.

In this regard, Hizb-e-Islami leader Gulbuddin Hikmatyar has said that the US leadership advised him about the direct talks with the Taliban, in which he said that the Taliban should be part of the International Dialogue because the move Will help solve Afghan problem.

Gulbuddin Hekmatyar added that he also told the US leadership that if the Taliban want to meet the American leadership directly, I do not mind and American authorities can start negotiations.
