Saudi Arabia's plan to ban thousands of Riyal on food waste

According to the report submitted by the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, approximately 40 percent of the food items go into trash in Saudi Arabia. By the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, according to its latest report, Saudi Arabia’s is numbered first in this list of food waste countries.

To overcome this problem, the Saudi Food Bank has proposed a penalty for the food disposal, so that saving food can be avoided, and awareness campaign will also be launched in the citizens.

In the proposal, the government has been recommended to pay a thousand rupees on the amount of one kilogram of waste.
